Enjoy a visit to one of the many musuems in or near Caldas da Rainha, like the José Malhoa museum (fine arts), Ceramics museum, Atelier António Duarte, Bicycle museum and the João Fragoso museum. Likewise, you can explore the countryside, visit the beaches, take a boat trip to the Berlengas islands, discover the walled town of Óbidos, enjoy the gastronomy of Peniche (caldeirada - fish soup), try the sweet pastry of Caldas da Rainha (trouxas, cavacas, beijinhos) or stroll along the daily fruit market. A visit to one of the ceramics workshops (Bordalo Pinheiro, Secla) is not to be missed.

In this area, you can practice various sports, like golf and tennis (Praia d'El Rei complex) and water sports in Peniche and Foz do Arelho.

 

 

For arriving to our Hotel (This is a guide if you come by car)

you have to get the Highway nº A8 (near Leiria from North, or in Lisbon from south) and you go out in exit nº 18 (Caldas da Raínha - Center), once you are in Caldas da Raínha , you will see a garden Park D.Carlos on your left, we are just in fron of the Park , between Statu of the Queen and the Spa Hospital.

 

If you are travelling by bus from Lisbon(approximately 70 minutes), the bus station is located 200 metres (5 minutes) from D. Carlos.

 

Travelling by train is also possible and the Caldas da Raínha train station is located 500 metres from D. Carlos.

 

 Various places from Caldas da Raínha to visit, such us : Peniche, Obidos,

Nazare, Batalha, Alcobaça. Foz do Arelho, Fatima , Ericeira , Sintra etc
